St. John’s, AntiguaAntigua and Barbuda’s Tourism Minister, Charles Fernandez, has extended an official invitation to global buyers, sellers, exhibitors, and tourism partners to attend the 43rd Caribbean Travel Marketplace, set to take place from May 18 to 22, 2025.

The highly anticipated event, organized by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA), will bring together leading industry stakeholders for a business-to-business (B2B) platform aimed at strengthening regional and international tourism partnerships.

“Following a record-breaking year of tourism growth in Antigua and Barbuda, we are delighted to host this prestigious event,” Fernandez said. “As a premier B2B event, it offers an invaluable platform for the region to establish direct connections with international buyers, fostering partnerships that drive business growth.”

Antigua and Barbuda’s tourism sector has seen significant expansion, supported by major infrastructure improvements, hotel developments, and enhanced airlift options. With non-stop flights and easy connections from major markets—including the USA, Canada, the UK, Europe, and the Caribbean—the destination continues to position itself as a top-tier hub for travel and investment.

The minister highlighted the event’s role in showcasing Antigua and Barbuda’s diverse offerings, including its renowned sailing heritage, vibrant cricket culture, unique culinary scene, wellness tourism, and breathtaking landscapes.

“During CHTA’s Caribbean Travel Marketplace, you’ll have the chance to experience the warmth and hospitality of our people,” Fernandez said. “Be immersed in our rich sailing heritage, vibrant cricketing culture, unique culinary delights, wellness and community experiences, captivating arts, breathtaking landscapes, and, of course, our 365 stunning beaches.”

With hundreds of tourism professionals expected to attend, the event will provide a significant economic boost while reinforcing Antigua and Barbuda’s commitment to sustainable tourism and cultural preservation.

Participants are encouraged to secure their flights, accommodations, and business appointments in advance, as the country aims to make this the biggest and most impactful Caribbean Travel Marketplace to date.
