The Boys Training School has been officially renamed the Bowers Rehabilitation Center in honor of its longest-serving principal, and the facility is scheduled to reopen next week after a period of closure.

During the Post-Cabinet press briefing, Chief of Staff Lionel Hurst confirmed the renaming, stating that the decision was made to recognize the contributions of the late Mr. Bowers, who played a significant role in shaping the institution.

_“Mr. Bowers was the longest-serving principal of the Boys Training School, and therefore it was named after him,”_ Hurst explained. He also noted that Mark Bowers, the son of the late principal, was consulted and agreed to the renaming.

The facility, which provides structured rehabilitation programs for young boys, has undergone upgrades and preparations for its reopening. Authorities hope that the relaunch under its new name will reinforce its mission of rehabilitation and youth development.

Further details on the programs and operational changes at the Bowers Rehabilitation Center are expected to be provided in the coming days.
