Promotion hopefuls Ottos Rangers came from two-nil down to record their 11th win in 16 showings this season, recording a 4-2 victory over Tryum to leap to the top of the standings in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) First Division at Tryum on Monday.

The victory moves Rangers to 38 points, two ahead of Jennings United who have played 15 matches.

Tryum took the lead in minute seven via a Swayne Thomas conversion while an own-goal by Sachin Merchant in minute 23 put the visitors further behind.

Rangers however, remained resilient and pulled a goal back via a Kyland Isaac strike in the 64th minute. Junior Benjamin drew Rangers level at 2-2 in the 71st minute before Isaac got his brace just four minutes later in the 75th. Isaac completed his hattrick with an 82nd minute conversion, much to the delight of the joyous Rangers fans.

Tryum remain fifth from bottom on the standings with 14 points after 16 showings.

Also on Monday, Empire played from behind as they enjoyed a 3-1 victory over Bendals when they met at Bendals.

Jevon Francis put the home team ahead in the fifth minute but Carlos Solomon nullified the strike just two minutes later with a goal of his own to make 1-1. Solomon completed his brace in 70th minute, running onto a loose ball and hitting into the back of the net from outside the area, after the Bendals custodian failed to clear the danger after leaving his line.

Jonathan Forde tied the three points in a bow for Empire when he scored directly from a corner kick in minute 84.

The win moves Empire to 33 points from 16 matches and still with an outside chance of automatic promotion while Bendals remains on 19 points after 15 outings.
