Ministry of Health & The Environment, Antigua and Barbuda: The Antigua and Barbuda Pharmacy Council is set to convene a critical meeting with freight forwarders to address concerns surrounding the unauthorized importation of pharmaceutical products into the country. The meeting will take place on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Conference Room at the Villa Community Centre, located at the Villa Polyclinic.

The discussion will focus on ensuring that all pharmaceuticals imported into Antigua and Barbuda comply with the necessary regulatory approvals set by the Pharmacy Council. Freight forwarders play a key role in the importation process, and their cooperation is essential in maintaining the safety and efficacy of medical products available to the public.

The Pharmacy Council is committed to upholding international standards in pharmaceutical regulation and safeguarding public health.

Freight forwarders and other relevant stakeholders are urged to attend and engage in this important dialogue to ensure compliance with the established guidelines.
