A Jennings man has pleaded guilty to weapons charges after police discovered a modified nail gun and ammunition during a search of his home.
Steven Roberts, 32, is scheduled to be sentenced on March 31, following his court appearance this week.
Roberts and a woman were arrested after law enforcement executed a search warrant at his residence on March 25.
During the search, police found a black firearm hidden in a closet shared by the duo, along with two 9mm rounds of ammunition.
Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel presided over the case in the St John’s Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
While Roberts accepted responsibility for the weapon and bullets, the woman pleaded not guilty and was discharged by the prosecution.
