**Nassau Guardian:** A junior high school coach was on Monday accused of having sex with an underage girl.

John Campbell, 57, appeared before Assistant Chief Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans facing six counts of unlawful sexual intercourse.

Campbell is alleged to have had intercourse with the teenager between October 2024 and March 2025. The girl was 14 and 15 when the incidents allegedly happened.

Campbell did not have to enter a plea to the charges because the matter will be tried in the Supreme Court.

The matter was adjourned to June 30 for the presentation of a voluntary bill of indictment.

Campbell was remanded to prison as the magistrate lacks the jurisdiction to consider bail for the charge.

However, he can seek bail in the Supreme Court.

Inspector Sontieno Coakley was the prosecutor.
