Industrial action at the West Indies Oil Company (WIOC) continues, with staff currently staging a sit-in at the company’s premises. The move follows failed negotiations between the Antigua and Barbuda Workers Union (ABWU) and WIOC management.

The workers, who are represented by the ABWU, are maintaining their stance until their demands are met. The nature of the dispute has not yet been publicly detailed, but the sit-in signals growing frustration among staff members.

In the meantime, supervisors and managers have stepped in to operate the front line, attempting to minimize disruptions by ensuring product deliveries continue despite the absence of regular staff.
