Team Antigua and Barbuda Departs for Trinidad to Compete in 52nd CARIFTA Games

Antigua and Barbuda’s national track and field team has departed for Trinidad and Tobago to compete in the 52nd edition of the CARIFTA Games, which brings together the region’s top young athletic talent.

The team includes standout athletes such as Jada Gunthrope, Shenika Bentick, Geolyna Dowdye, and Naeem Simon, who will be among those representing the nation on the regional stage.

Accompanying the athletes are Head Coach Jamille Nelson, Assistant Coach Oswald Baptiste, and Team Manager Gillian Matthew. Senator Shenella Govia and Safeguarding Officer Kesswin Anthony are also part of the delegation, ensuring the team is supported both on and off the track.

The 2024 CARIFTA Games is scheduled to run from March 29 to April 1 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain.

Antigua and Barbuda will be hoping to build on past performances and make a strong showing at the highly anticipated event.
