Staff and customers at the APUA Business Centre were evacuated late Wednesday morning after a fire alarm was triggered.
The alarm sounded at around 11:45 local time, prompting the immediate activation of evacuation protocols. Occupants assembled safely in a nearby vacant lot on High Street.
The St. John’s Fire Brigade carried out a full safety inspection and confirmed there was no emergency. Staff and customers were later allowed to return to the building.
APUA thanked the fire service and on-site security for their swift response and confirmed that everyone was accounted for.
