The visit underscored the shared commitment between Antigua and Barbuda and the People’s Republic of China to deepen cooperation in health, agriculture, fisheries, the blue economy, education, and innovation.

The delegation, which included Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and the Blue Economy Anthony Smith Jr., Minister of Creative Industries and Innovation Darryl Matthew, and Senator Clement Antonio, engaged in high-level discussions in the major cities of Shanghai and Hangzhou, where opportunities for bilateral collaboration were explored in detail.

Sir Molwyn, who holds the portfolio for Health, Wellness, and the Environment, emphasized Antigua and Barbuda’s commitment to improving public health systems through innovation and global partnerships. Discussions centered around improving hospital infrastructure and agricultural resilience in the face of climate change.
