Jamale Pringle, Opposition Leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP), has filed a formal complaint with the Criminal Investigations Department after a contracted performance by artist Armani Givenchy Moodie was cancelled on Labour Day 2025.

Pringle engaged Stardon Records to secure the performance, agreeing to a $10,000 USD fee with half paid upfront. On the day of the event, the artist and team failed to appear, and no refund was issued.

Pringle told police he had not received an apology or his deposit back and suspects the team will return for carnival season. He is seeking police assistance to recover his funds.

The case raises concerns about the enforcement of contracts and accountability within the entertainment industry.
