A large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms over the eastern tropical Atlantic is associated with a tropical wave.
Environmental conditions appear conducive for gradual development of this system, and a tropical depression could form during the latter part of the week while moving westward to west-northwestward at about 20 mph across the central tropical Atlantic, possibly approaching the vicinity of the Leeward Islands on Friday.
