Roadwork has advanced in the Lightfoot area of All Saints West, where Member of Parliament Anthony Smith Jr. says residents have waited more than three decades for improved infrastructure.
Smith confirmed that concrete is now being poured to upgrade several roads, describing the development as “another stride forward” in his constituency. He noted that preparatory work had been underway for months before the paving began, underscoring that the project is part of a wider plan to modernise infrastructure across All Saints West.
“Some residents have lived for over 35 years without the infrastructure they’ve long hoped for,” Smith said, adding that progress will continue steadily across villages.
While acknowledging that the upgrades will take time, Smith urged constituents to remain patient as the works expand. “Your patience and support mean everything as we work together to build the community we all deserve,” he said.
