Antigua and Barbuda is set to launch its first crematory, introducing a new option for families beyond traditional burials.

Meyer’s Funeral Home said the facility will initially offer direct cremation services, allowing families to hold memorials separately. A full range of services, including on-site cremation and a chapel for remembrance ceremonies, will follow in the coming months.

The funeral home described the project as “a transformative step” in providing comfort and choice, with plans to cater to cultural and religious traditions.

No official opening date has been announced, but the crematory is expected to open soon.
