Progress is being made on the installation of a new two-million-gallon reverse osmosis (RO) plant at Shell Beach, according to the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (AUPA).

As part of the project, workers are preparing to lay around 3,300 feet of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) transmission lines. The pipeline will run from Jabberwock through Cedar Valley, linking the new facility to the wider water distribution network.

Once installed, the system is expected to strengthen water supply to communities along the island’s northern corridor.

AUPA said the initiative forms part of its wider efforts to modernise water infrastructure and improve reliability across Antigua and Barbuda.
