The Minister responsible for National Security, the Hon. Sir Steadroy Benjamin, informed Cabinet that the Canine Unit of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is now fully staffed with six dogs currently undergoing specialized training.

These dogs are being prepared for drug detection, human trafficking interdiction, and the identification of illegal firearms and ammunition, significantly strengthening the Force’s capacity to combat organized crime.
