Sandals Resorts International has announced plans to open a new Beaches property in St Vincent and the Grenadines, marking another major investment in the country’s growing tourism sector.

Executive Chairman Adam Stewart revealed the project during the Skift Global Forum this week, confirming that a 360-room all-inclusive Beaches resort will be built at Mount Wynne Beach on the island’s western coast, just ten minutes from the recently opened Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The company’s first resort in St Vincent, which debuted last year, has been credited with fuelling what has been called the “Sandals Effect,” a surge in visitor arrivals and new airlift. Since its opening, air capacity to the island has risen by 300 percent, including new nonstop Delta flights from Atlanta set to begin soon.

“It’s clear that all tides rise together,” Stewart said. “We’re excited to continue that momentum with plans to bring a new 360-room Beaches Resort to this incredible destination.”

The Beaches brand, aimed at families, is also expanding elsewhere in the region. Upcoming projects include the launch of the Treasure Beach Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos and new developments in Exuma, Barbados, and Jamaica’s Runaway Bay. Together, these expansions represent more than $1 billion in hotel investment across the Caribbean.
