Three motorists are awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to careless driving in separate incidents.

In the first case, a woman admitted to the offense following a January crash on Utility Drive. Police said she struck another vehicle while overtaking. The court will deliver its ruling on November 20.

A second matter involves a young woman who collided with a vehicle on the Sir Sydney Walling Highway last December after failing to see oncoming traffic. Her sentencing is set for November 12, pending an insurance report.

In the third case, a male driver initially denied wrongdoing in a November 2024 collision with a Mack truck at the junction of St. John’s and Cross Streets. He later admitted fault, telling the court, “I should have been more careful.” His matter was adjourned to November 6 for the complainant to provide details of the damage.
