The Cabinet has announced that this year’s Independence Ceremonial Parade and Food Fair will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025.

The observance will take place on that date since November 1, Antigua and Barbuda’s official Independence Day, falls on a Saturday this year.

According to the Public Holidays (Amendment) Act of 2019, when November 1 falls on a weekend, the following Monday is declared a public holiday. All official Independence activities, including the ceremonial parade and national food fair, will therefore be held on November 3.

Further details on the venue and programme for the 44th Independence celebrations are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
