The Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Fisheries & The Blue Economy categorically refutes baseless and malicious allegations, circulated on social media by Mary John, regarding vehicles assigned to the Ministry of Agriculture and Lands.

Following Cabinet approval, vehicles including trucks and excavation equipment were lawfully procured and assigned to the Ministry of Agriculture and Lands for legitimate national development purposes.

These vehicles are actively deployed for:

    1. Clearing lands in subdivisions to prepare for new land sales to citizens and residents

    2. Providing essential assistance to our nation’s farmers, including agricultural land clearing operations

These vehicles are being used exactly as intended—to serve the agricultural sector and facilitate land development for the benefit of all Antiguans and Barbudans.

The Ministry strongly condemns the reckless spread of demonstrably false claims, unfounded conspiracy theories, and irresponsible innuendo. All citizens, commentators, and social media users are encouraged to exercise responsibility and verify facts before sharing inflammatory claims. Democratic discourse depends on truthful information and good faith debate—not on conspiracy theories and character assassination.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Fisheries & The Blue Economy remains committed to transparency and accountability in all its operations and will continue to respond promptly to legitimate questions while firmly correcting deliberate misinformation.
