Opposition Leader Jamale Pringle has issued a firm denial of any involvement in the alleged government vehicle procurement scandal, challenging anyone with evidence to come forward and urging a full, independent investigation into the matter.

Speaking at the _Vehicle Gate_ town hall meeting, Pringle rejected claims circulating in political and public circles that sought to link him to the controversy. He described the allegations as politically motivated distractions aimed at undermining his credibility as opposition leader.

“If it is that you’re saying that Jamale Pringle is involved, and you have evidence of that, the person should have put their name on that document and stand by what they’re saying,” Pringle said. “If I’m involved, all the better — let’s have an independent inquiry. Not only into that scandal, but into the Public Works Department as well. Let the chips fall where they may.”

He also dismissed calls for his resignation, saying that political opponents were using the issue to divert attention from what he described as “deep-seated corruption” within the current administration. “Too often we’re being distracted with these red herrings,” he said.

Pringle called for a transparent investigation into the alleged misuse of funds for vehicle purchases, emphasizing that accountability should apply to all public officials, regardless of party affiliation. “We are not afraid of scrutiny,” he said. “What we are calling for is fairness — let the evidence speak, and let the people see who is truly responsible.”

The _Vehicle Gate_ forum, hosted by the United Progressive Party, brought together former civil servants, attorneys, and opposition figures to discuss the ongoing scandal involving millions of dollars reportedly spent on government vehicles without proper authorization.

Pringle’s remarks marked his strongest public denial to date and his most direct challenge to those linking him to the controversy. He urged investigators and law enforcement agencies to act swiftly, insisting that the truth would vindicate him and expose the real wrongdoers.

“This is not a time for political games,” he said. “It’s a time for truth, for transparency, and for the rule of law. If anyone believes I’ve done wrong, bring the evidence — because I have nothing to hide.”
