As a follow-up to our audio release on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) Water Business Unit advises customers that a temporary issue affecting the odour and discolouration of water distributed from the Delaps Water Treatment Facility was recently identified.

As a precautionary measure, operations at the facility were paused to facilitate a detailed investigation and the implementation of corrective actions. Treatment processes have since been reviewed and adjusted to ensure that water meets all established safety and regulatory standards prior to the resumption of distribution. The health and safety of our customers remain our highest priority.

While work continues at Delaps, affected communities will be temporarily supplied from alternative sources. Customers are advised that this may result in extended intervals between scheduled servicing days as we work to balance system demand.

Customers who continue to experience issues with odour, discolouration, service interruptions, or any related concerns are encouraged to contact our 24/7 Customer Service Centre at 211 for immediate assistance and follow-up.

The APUA Water Business Unit sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks the public for their continued patience, understanding, and cooperation as we work to restore full operations at the Delaps facility.
