In an inspiring display of community support, the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre’s (SLBMC) annual PINKparty raised record funds to support cancer care and early detection.

To date, ??? ???????? ??? ?????? ???? $??,??? ???, surpassing organizers’ expectations. Now in its 12th year, the PINKparty continues to bring together individuals, organizations, and businesses united by one cause—to strengthen breast cancer care and help the hospital acquire a new mammogram system valued at approximately $250,000 USD.

“Like other public institutions, we face mounting budget constraints; yet the urgency of breast cancer—its prevention, detection, and treatment—cannot wait,” said ????? ?????, ????? ???? ?? ????????? & ??????????????. “Anything we can do to enhance the care we provide can’t come fast enough—for patients, for their loved ones, and for us. That includes ensuring we have a reliable mammogram service.

Over the years, we’ve heard countless stories from families, friends, and colleagues affected by this disease—and that shared urgency is what unites us.

This year, we had the most group registrations ever—that’s urgency uniting. We raised the most funds ever—that’s urgency uniting. And we’re determined to raise what it takes to purchase that mammogram system—because that’s the urgent need. We’re this far ahead because of the incredible support of our community—and we’re deeply grateful for it.”

    ??. ?????? ?????-??????, ????? ??????? ????????, praised the collective effort, noting:

“This is an incredible testament to what happens when a community comes together for a shared purpose. Every contribution—big or small—moves us closer to our goal of ensuring that every woman continues to have access to timely breast cancer screening and care. We are so grateful to everyone who continues to walk, dance, and give for this cause.”
