LETTER: Request for Update on All Saints Road Repairs

    Dear Editor,

I write to express concern and seek clarification regarding the long-promised repairs to All Saints Road. According to earlier government announcements and media reports, including coverage by _Antigua News Room_ , work on this vital roadway was scheduled to begin in October. However, as we are now in November, there has been no visible sign of progress nor any official update provided to the public.

In the meantime, motorists continue to endure the poor condition of the road, which has resulted in increased vehicle maintenance costs, particularly damage to front-end parts. This situation is both frustrating and costly for the many citizens who rely on this road daily.

What adds to the disappointment is that residents have begun paying additional taxes at the Transport Board, which were said to contribute to infrastructure improvements. Despite this, there is still no indication that work on All Saints Road has commenced.

I therefore urge the relevant government authorities to provide the public with a clear and timely update on the status of this project. Transparency and accountability are essential, especially when taxpayers are contributing directly to these developments.

The people of Antigua deserve safe roads and open communication from those responsible for maintaining them.
