Antigua and Barbuda’s Prime Minister Gaston Browne has called on US President Donald Trump to pursue diplomacy in addressing tensions between the United States and Venezuela.

In a brief statement shared online, Mr Browne encouraged “dialogue and diplomacy” as the path to resolving ongoing differences between the two countries. He said it was important for the region to remain “a zone of peace,” urging leaders to prioritise stability across the hemisphere.

The Prime Minister’s remarks come amid renewed concerns about political and economic strains between Washington and Caracas, and their wider impact on the Caribbean.
