    Ceremony to Honour V.C. Bird Scheduled for Tuesday in St. John’s

    The National Festivals Office will host a wreath-laying ceremony on Tuesday to commemorate the life and legacy of Sir Vere Cornwall Bird, recognized as the Father of the Nation.

    The event is set for 8 a.m. on December 9 at the V.C. Bird Bust on Market Street , where government officials, cultural representatives and members of the public are expected to gather in tribute.

    The ceremony forms part of the annual national observance honouring Bird’s role in shaping Antigua and Barbuda’s political and social development.

    Residents have been invited to witness the event.
