An ongoing delayed legal procedure continues to stymie the sentencing of Mr. Dylan Simon. Mr Simon was convicted last month on a number of charges including larceny, has not yet been sentenced by trial judge Mr Justice Stanley John.

The sentencing, originally scheduled for November 11, 2025, has been postponed to allow for the preparation of a pre-sentence report. This report, requested by Mr. Simon’s family through his lawyer, should have been conducted by social workers, to provide the court with detailed information about Mr. Simon’s social background.

The pre-sentence report is a standard tool used by courts to gain a comprehensive understanding of a defendant’s personal circumstances, which can assist in determining an appropriate and fair sentence.

A new sentencing date has not yet been set, and the court will schedule it once the report is completed and reviewed.

For further inquiries, please contact Mr. Simon’s legal representative.
