Antigua and Barbuda’s main international airport recorded one of its busiest days on Saturday, handling 14 international flights within a single day , officials have said.
The arrivals included a mix of commercial services and private jets, alongside the airport’s regular home-porting operations, which continued without disruption.
Airport authorities said the high volume of traffic highlighted Antigua and Barbuda’s role as a key hub for regional and international travel in the Eastern Caribbean.
They also praised the work of air traffic controllers, operations staff, security personnel and ground-handling teams, noting that coordinated efforts across all departments ensured the smooth flow of passengers and aircraft.
Officials extended a warm welcome to visitors, describing the day’s operations as a strong demonstration of the country’s aviation capacity and readiness during peak travel periods.
