The Antigua Public Utilities Authority says water service has been restored to areas affected by a recent quality issue after tests confirmed conditions have returned to normal.

APUA reported that total dissolved solids levels are now within acceptable limits following the completion of production testing. The utility said the cause was traced to one of the units at the Ivan Rodrigues Plant, where corrective actions have since been taken.

Water distribution to previously affected communities resumed immediately, according to the authority.

APUA thanked customers for their patience and understanding as crews worked to resolve the issue and restore normal service.
