The Ministry of Health, through the Central Board of Health (CBH), has announced new Food Handlers’ Training sessions scheduled for March, urging all food handlers and prospective applicants to register ahead of time.

According to the CBH, individuals wishing to participate in the training programme must register in person at the Central Board of Health offices on Upper Church Street between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon.

New applicants are required to submit two passport-sized photographs, while those seeking renewal must present an expired food handler’s badge issued from 2018 onwards. A registration fee of $50 is also required.

The ministry has warned that participants who miss their scheduled training session and wish to reschedule will be charged an additional fee of $25.

Training sessions will be limited to 80 participants per sitting and will be held at the Multi-Purpose Centre in Perry Bay. The dates and times are as follows:

    March 5, 2026 – New applicants, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

    March 12, 2026 – Retraining session, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

    March 19, 2026 – Retraining session, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The CBH has also stressed that children will not be allowed at any of the training sessions.

Food handlers are being encouraged to complete their registration early, as spaces are limited.
