Antigua and Barbuda has taken its Carnival marketing campaign to the heart of Trinidad’s festivities, using the region’s largest street celebration to promote its own summer event as a key stop on the Caribbean carnival circuit.

Officials from the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority and the Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission have been conducting media appearances and meeting directly with revelers and promoters during Trinidad Carnival, encouraging visitors to extend their carnival season to Antigua.

The delegation says the push is aimed at keeping regional travel momentum alive after Trinidad’s final parade, positioning Antigua Carnival as the next major experience for soca fans and fete-goers.

Beyond the music and street parades, representatives are also promoting Antigua and Barbuda’s broader tourism offering — from its beaches and sailing culture to its culinary scene and heritage — as part of a wider strategy to convert carnival travelers into longer-stay visitors.

The campaign forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Antigua and Barbuda’s presence within the competitive regional festival market and to attract both first-time and repeat visitors from across the Caribbean.
