Individuals charged in connection with the protracted “Beaches Case” are scheduled to return to the Magistrate’s Court at 9 a.m. on Monday, February 23, as legal proceedings continue over alleged trespassing at Laurys Bay.

The charges stem from an incident on Whit Monday, June 9, 2025, when the group sought access to Laurys Bay in the St. Philip North constituency. Prosecutors allege the individuals unlawfully entered property tied to a private development.

The matter has drawn political attention and public debate, with supporters describing those charged as patriots defending beach access rights.

The issue was also discussed during a Cabinet press briefing on June 11, 2025, when it was disclosed that the development and related concerns had been raised at the executive level.

The accused have made several previous court appearances as the case proceeds. Further updates are expected following Monday’s hearing.
