The Ministry of Education, Sports and Creative Industries has commended Antigua and Barbuda’s debating team following its successful defence of the Leeward Islands title, describing the achievement as a reflection of the country’s academic strength.

In a statement issued shortly after the victory, the ministry said the team’s performance highlighted “the strength of our young minds” and credited the students for representing the nation “with distinction and pride.”

The ministry also acknowledged the role of coaches and supporters, noting that the result was the product of a wider support system behind the students.

Officials said the win reinforces confidence in the country’s youth and its investment in education and intellectual development.
