A post-mortem report presented in court has found that Customs officer Nigel Christian died from multiple gunshot wounds, including injuries to the head and chest.

The report, read before Justice Rajiv Persaud during the ongoing murder trial, indicated that Christian was struck four times.

The injuries included gunshots to the head and upper chest, with one round passing through the brain and another piercing the chest and lungs, leading to significant internal bleeding.

The cause of death was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds.

Three men — Lasean Bully of Cashew Hill, Wayne Thomas of Hatton and Saleim Harrigan of Green Bay — are charged with his murder. All have pleaded not guilty.

The trial, which began on February 19, is nearing the end of the prosecution’s case, with about five witnesses still to be called before the defence begins.

The Crown is led by Director of Public Prosecutions Clement Joseph, alongside Crown Counsel Curtis Cornelius. Bully is represented by Michael Archibald, Thomas by Sherfield Bowen, and Harrigan by Wendel Alexander.

Proceedings are set to continue on Wednesday.
