A 16-year-old student injured in a stabbing at the West Bus Station has returned to school following treatment.

Jakeem Benjamin, of Ottos Comprehensive School, resumed classes after sustaining multiple stab wounds during a February 27 altercation at the transportation hub.

Police said he suffered puncture wounds to the left side of his abdomen and was taken to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for emergency treatment. His condition was initially listed as serious, but he has since recovered and is reported to be doing well.

A 16-year-old boy from Bendals was taken into custody shortly after the incident. Police investigations are ongoing.
