LETTER: Problem with backpack at MSJMC

I am a worker at the hospital and I need to voice my concern because things are only fixed at the hospital once the media is involved.

The issue is about the back pay situation, when the government issues back pay for workers the hospital is not distributing the money to all the workers.

They create their own criteria as to who should receive the back pay.

I am mentioning this because the prime Minister has already announced another payment from 2018 to 2023.

However, the hospital does not acknowledge workers who started working after 2021 in regards to the backpay.

They has been 2 backpay given and myself and co workers who fit the timeline has not received anything. I am wondering if it will be the same this time.

I think it’s unfair for them to withhold money which is rightfully ours, that hospital has been doing too much illegal practices with it comes to management and they need to be addressed. Am wondering if all the unions know exactly what the workers are facing at the hospital.

The issues are never ending but now it looks like they stealing form us to. I hope that they would honor the time-line the prime Minister gave and not do what they want.
