The APUA Water Business Unit is advising customers that maintenance works are continuing on sections of the aged distribution network within the Point Area, with a current focus on North Street.

Over the Easter weekend, our crews have remained actively engaged in St. John’s along North Street as part of ongoing efforts to improve the reliability and efficiency of the water distribution network. These works form part of a phased approach to addressing longstanding infrastructure challenges within this area.

As works progress, teams will continue along Newgate Street with the aim of reaching the vicinity of the Police Station and the Market Street junction by Monday, April 6, 2026. Customers in and around these areas may experience temporary disruptions as crews carry out the necessary upgrades and repairs.

We wish to reassure customers that these activities are essential to strengthening the integrity of the distribution system and reducing the frequency of leaks and service interruptions over time.

Our teams remain committed to working as efficiently as possible to minimise inconvenience and restore normal service in the shortest possible time.

In the interim, customers are encouraged to store adequate supplies and practise water conservation where possible.

We thank you for your patience, continued support, and understanding as we work to improve the network.
