    ABEC issues deadline for completing transfers and first-time registrants

    1. Transfers Between Constituencies

    Electors who applied on or before 28 February 2026 to transfer from one constituency to another are required to complete the transfer process no later than 6:00 p.m. on Friday, 10 April 2026 at the ABEC Headquarters.

    Failure to complete the process by this deadline will result in the elector being required to vote in the constituency from which the transfer was sought.

    2. Eligibility of First-Time Registrants

    Persons who registered for the first time on or before 28 February 2026 shall be eligible to vote in the General Elections scheduled for Thursday, 30 April 2026, having completed the claims and objections process and are therefore included on the List of Electors for these elections.

    The Commission thanks the public for its cooperation and attention to this notice.
