The Inland Revenue Department and The UWI Global Campus Antigua & Barbuda have paid tribute to longtime public servant Rholanda Benjamin-Grant, remembering her decades of service and lasting impact on colleagues and the wider community.

Benjamin-Grant, who died on March 18, 2026, at the age of 57, joined the Civil Service in 1988 as a clerical assistant at the Inland Revenue Department. Over the years, she rose through several positions, including junior and senior clerk, revenue officer, assistant field auditor, supervisor of data capture, and senior program monitoring officer.

In a statement, the Inland Revenue Department said it “honor[s] the memory of our beloved coworker Mrs. Rholanda Benjamin-Grant,” noting that she “faithfully served in several roles” throughout her career.

The department added that she “will be remembered not only for her dedication and hard work, but also for her kindness and presence within the Department,” describing her as someone who will be “greatly missed.”

The UWI Global Campus Antigua & Barbuda also reflected on her life and legacy, highlighting her influence within the academic community.

“With heavy hearts, we join in celebrating the life and legacy of Rholanda Benjamin-Grant,” the institution said, adding that her “vibrant energy left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.”

The campus noted that she would be “fondly remembered and deeply appreciated for the impact she made,” while extending “deepest sympathies” to her family and loved ones.

Both organizations invited the public to reflect on her life and contributions. UWI said it encourages the community “to pause in reflection and join us in honouring her memory and the meaningful life she lived.”

Benjamin-Grant is remembered for her long-standing commitment to public service and her positive influence on those around her.
