LETTER: Daily Bush Burning on Jonas Road

    Dear Editor,

I am writing as a concerned resident of Jonas Road regarding the constant burning of bushes by farmers in the area.

For weeks, residents here have been exposed to smoke from burning bushes almost every day.

This has led to noticeable impacts within my household, including persistent coughing, eye irritation, and breathing difficulties. It has also become difficult to do laundry and hang clothes outside to dry, as the daily smoke leaves everything smelling of smoke.

I am requesting that the relevant authority investigate this matter urgently. I am also urging the farmers involved to exercise more discretion.

    Regards,

    Fed-up resident
