Two Antigua resorts are publicly affirming that LGBTQ+ travelers are welcome at their properties, using social media advertisements that emphasize inclusion, respect and hospitality.

Pineapple Beach Club Antigua and The Verandah Resort and Spa recently shared nearly identical messages aimed at reassuring LGBTQ+ guests that they can vacation comfortably at the resorts.

“We understand that for LGBTQ+ travelers, choosing a hotel often comes with unspoken questions,” the advertisements state. “Our goal is to remove those questions entirely by creating resort environments where guests feel at ease, valued, and free to enjoy their time together without hesitation.”

The resorts said they are committed to fostering “a more welcoming Caribbean travel experience” grounded in what they described as warmth, respect and authentic hospitality.

According to the advertisements, that commitment is reflected through visible representation, inclusive service standards and leadership that believes “belonging is not optional; it is essential to great hospitality.”

The posts feature images of same-sex couples and seek to assure LGBTQ+ travelers that they will be welcomed and respected during their stay.

The advertisements appeared on social media this month and have generated discussion online, with supporters praising the message of inclusion while others questioned the approach.

Tourism operators across the region continue to compete for international visitors, with many emphasizing hospitality and guest experience as key elements of their marketing efforts. The advertisements by the two Antigua resorts underscore their position that LGBTQ+ travelers are among the guests they welcome.
