Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama has joined Commonwealth leaders in Antigua and Barbuda for CHOGM 2026, with plans to pursue investment opportunities and strengthen diplomatic ties.
The summit in St. John’s is being held under the theme “Accelerating Partnership and Investment for a Prosperous Commonwealth,” with discussions focused on economic cooperation, trade and sustainable development.
During his two-day visit, Mahama is expected to hold bilateral talks with several heads of state and government to explore shared interests and expand Ghana’s economic partnerships.
The gathering brings together government leaders, ministers, business representatives, civil society groups and youth organisations to discuss common challenges and opportunities for cooperation.
It is Mahama’s first Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting since his re-election in December 2024.
