As the world grapples with the escalating effects of climate change, young minds are being called to action through the World Water Day 2025 Competition, a collaborative initiative between Oasis Purified Water and Good Humans 268 Inc. The competition, themed “Save Our Glaciers: Inspiring Change Through Words and Art,” is designed to educate students on the importance of glaciers in the global water cycle and encourage creative expressions of advocacy.

With an essay and art competition open to students between the ages of 5 to 18, this initiative hopes to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards.

Glaciers, often called the “water towers of the world,” provide fresh water for billions of people globally. However, due to rising temperatures, these ice masses are melting at unprecedented rates, threatening water security and contributing to rising sea levels. Recognizing the urgency of this issue, Good Humans 268 Inc. and Oasis Purified Water have launched this initiative to foster awareness and action.

Students are encouraged to participate in one of two categories: Essay Competition: A platform for students to express their thoughts on glacier preservation, its link to the global water cycle, and the impacts of climate change; Art Competition: A chance for students to depict the beauty of glaciers and highlight their need for preservation through their artistic vision.

Prizes include a laptop, a smartphone, and a tablet for the top winners, while the winning school will receive a water dispenser with a term’s supply of purified water.

With a submission deadline of April 15, 2025, schools are urged to encourage participation. All entries should be sent to info@goodhumans268.org.

“This competition is more than just winning prizes—it’s about using art and words to spark meaningful conversations about climate change,” says Joshuanette Francis, founder of Good Humans 268 Inc. and a passionate advocate for environmental consciousness.

By equipping students with knowledge and a platform to share their ideas, World Water Day 2025 is shaping up to be a major event in the movement toward a sustainable future.
