Sunday’s action in the Antigua & Barbuda Volleyball Association (ABAVA) Championship with three Division Two matches in the male and female categories saw Invaders, Eagles and Dynasty claim victories.
Eagles Team 2 displayed commanding court presence in a straight-sets victory over Dynasty Volleyball Team 2. The Eagles soared to a convincing 2-0 win with set scores of 25-15 and 25-18.
The Dynasty program had mixed results on the day, with their first team squad securing a hard-fought victory over Jets Team 2 in a three-set thriller. After dropping the first set 20-25, Dynasty won the second set 25-17. The deciding set saw Dynasty pull away for a 15-4 finish, completing the 2-1 comeback victory.
In men’s action, Invaders overcame a determined opponent in another three-set battle. After claiming a narrow first set 25-23, Invaders faced resistance in the second set, dropping it 16-25. The decisive third set saw Invaders regroup to secure a 15-7 win and claim the match 2-1.
