Maria Browne, the sole elected woman in Antigua and Barbuda’s House of Representatives, marked International Women’s Day with a message celebrating women’s contributions to society and leadership roles.
Browne emphasized that women of Antigua and Barbuda are the “building blocks” of society and are increasingly taking up leadership positions and engaging in decision-making. She encouraged women to support one another, saying, “Let’s help fix each other’s crowns while maintaining our own,” underscoring the importance of empowerment.
Her message aligned with the global theme of recognizing and advancing gender equality.
