Antigua and Barbuda Ratifies Key UN Agreement on Marine Biodiversity Conservation

GIS ANTIGUA: The House of Representative passed a resolution ratifying the agreement under the United Nations convention of the Law of the Sea on the Conservation and Sustainable use of Marine Biological Diversity of areas beyond National jurisdiction.

The Government of Antigua Barbuda signed the agreement on September 20, 2023 and this resolution ratify the Agreement under the United Nation Convention of the Law of the Sea on the Conversation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction.

The Resolution was debated by Prime Minister Hon Gaston. Browne, Attorney General Hon. Sir Steadyroy Benjamin, Hon. Sir Mowlyn Joseph, Hon. Trevor Walker, Hon. Melford Nicholas, and Hon. Rawdon Turner.
