This is a Tsunami Information Statement to inform the public and authorities that, based on current data, there is no tsunami threat to Antigua and Barbuda following the recent seismic activity.

**Preliminary Earthquake Parameters:**

* **Magnitude:** 6.1

* **Origin Time and Date:** 6:22 AST (2222 UTC) September 24, 2025

* **Coordinates:** 10.0° North, 70.9° West

* **Depth:** 10 km/6 miles

* **Location:** Venezuela

**Evaluation:**

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.1 occurred in northern Venezuela at 6:22 am on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Based on all available data, there is no significant tsunami threat from this earthquake. However, there is a very small possibility of tsunami waves along the Caribbean coasts located nearest the epicentre.
