A British Airways flight from London was forced to delay its landing at V.C. Bird International Airport after a dog wandered onto the runway.

Flight 2157 aborted its initial approach when the animal was spotted, prompting the plane to circle while ground staff cleared the area.

The aircraft landed safely on its second attempt.

One passenger joked: “You expect turbulence over the Atlantic, not a dog delaying your landing.”
