Former West Indies batsman Austin Richards Jr showed that he is still one of the most dominant players on the Parish League circuit with an excellent all round display of skills against Mahico Cricket Club in the ACB Caribbean Sir Curtly Ambrose Limited Overs.

Playing at home, Freetown were struggling at 30 for five as Malinga Bruney snatched three for 23 before Richards walked to the crease.

Mahico started positively reaching 29 for the first wicket but lost their way with the introduction of Richards who picked up four wickets in his first spell leaving them 45 for 5. Mahico was able to rebuild and was 88 for 5 before he was reintroduced to the attack.

He then bagged another three wickets in his first over, reducing Mahico to 89 for 8 to end the match with figures of 8 for 15. Freetown won by 28 runs.
