A Cedar Valley Heights man has been remanded after pleading not guilty to firearm and drug charges.

Hezekiah Parker Jr. appeared before Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel on Tuesday, represented by attorney Sherfield Bowen, and is due back in court tomorrow.

Police say the charges arose from a predawn search of Parker’s home on January 10, 2026, where officers allegedly found an unlicensed Smith & Wesson .380-calibre pistol with seven rounds of ammunition and about 100 grams of cannabis. Parker is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of cannabis, and possession with intent to supply.
